A Place to Hang Your Cape Reviews the Good Samaritan One-Shot!
Not only is Good Samaritan available on Comixology right now for the obscenely low price of $0.99, but it’s also getting a rave review or two across the internet! That’s right, Loopholics, pop culture reviews powerhouse A Place to Hang Your Cape took a look at the Good Samaritan one-shot. Did they like what they read? Well let’s head on down the article and find out for ourselves…
The art is quite good in my opinion. It looks like a very professional superhero comic done by the big names. It fits the tone and style of the story.
Erik Korsgaard, who did every bit of the art, from layouts to colors, was one heck of a find! Not only was he professional, he was also ridiculously fast. Comics creators seeking freelancers, take note!
I’m not sure if it was on purpose but the overall message of the comic was very critical of how the world changed and became quite selfish and self-obsessed. The commentary on humanity was quite grim, but apt.
Definitely intentional according to writer Mike Exner III. The “protagonist” of Good Samaritan, The Nobleman, is unquestionably a powerhouse… but what happens when a hero with that kind of power becomes fed up with the people he’s saving?
Overall, I really enjoyed this comic. The twist at the end was a nice surprise as is the comic’s take on a heroes’ role and how humanity sees them. The writer truly knows how to have a solid beginning, middle and end for a quick, awesome comic.
Quick, awesome and comics is what we’re all about here at Loophole! Major, major thanks to reviewer Dara Berkey for the review of the Good Samaritan one-shot. Check out the rest of what she has to say by clicking HERE, and check out Good Samaritan itself on Comixology by clicking the image below!
